Derry City Council has always been a proud supporter of the festival, in conjunction with funding partners. The event is an excellent showcase for up and coming talent from both home and abroad.

The city has welcomed some of the leading lights in the film industry over the years as well as some of the stars of stage and screen, who have been more than impressed by the home-grown talent here. I must congratulate everyone involved in making the festival a resounding success year on year, and an event which has gained recognition at both BAFTA and Oscar level. May it continue to provide an invaluable platform for local film-makers and artists for many more years to come.”
